Ratings Review: 2017 AL Wild Card and Division Series

FS1 gets the American league this year, along with three games played on other networks. The Wild Card Game aired on ESPN and drew a respectable 6.7 million viewers. of course, it helps having the New York Yankees in the game. The Yanks top the twins and advanced to see the Indians in the ALDS.

The Houston vs Red Sox ALDS series was played during the daylight hours for all four games. Only game one, airing on the MLB Network, saw the sun set before the end of the game. The series barely averaged over two million viewers as the Astros pretty much dominated the series.

The Indians vs Yankees series started slow, failing to draw four million viewers for the first two games. But when the series shifted to NY, ratings picked up. The series finale drew 7.3 million viewers, the most this postseason, so far, for an American League game.
