Ratings Review: 2016 NLCS - Chicago vs Los Angeles
The National League Championship Series was played on FS1 this year and featured the Chicago Cubs, for a second straight year, and the LA Dodgers.
Unlike the ALCS, the National League played all of its games in primetime, capturing string ratings throughout the series. Game one started on a Saturday night, so it is not surprising to see it has the lowest numbers in the three demographic categories. Game four, the second lowest, had to go up against a presidential Debate, which aired on four broadcast networks and all three cable news networks. FOX did not air a game, as it did in 2015.
FS1 did brake records on Game two as it became the most watched event on FS1 history. The final and decisive game five almost matched those numbers as the Cubs won the NL pennant, 4 games to 2 games.
