Ratings Review: 2017 NL Wild Card and Division Series

TBS has the National league games in 2017 and is drawing the better ratings, over the American League games. The NL Wild Card game drew 4.4 million viewers and had the Diamondbacks advancing to the NLDS and facing the Dodgers.

The Dodgers took little time and effort to dismiss the Diamondbacks, sweeping them in three games. All three games had late starts, with the earliest starting at 9:30 pm, easter time, so the lower ratings reflect that most viewers were in bed during the games.

The National vs Cubs series when the distance drawing under four million viewers, on average, for the first four games. Two of those games had 4 PM starts. The final game, which lasted until just before 1:00 AM, Friday Morning, was the top NLG of the post season, grabbing seven million viewers and a 2.0 demographic rating. The Cubs win and will face the Dodgers in the NLCS.
