Ratings Review: 2015 World Series (Royals vs Mets)
Even thought the series only went five games, FOX should be very happy with the ratings the 2015 World Series brought in. Every five game of this year's series did better than the first five games of the 2014 series. Had this series gone to a seventh game, I am sure it would have top last year's game seven, at over 23 million viewers.
The Mets vs Royals World series averaged 14.53 million viewers, a 3.0 rating in Adults 18-34, a 4.0 rating in Adults 18-49 and a 4.8 rating in Adults 25-54. Two of the five games, or 40%, were played on the lower rated Friday & Saturday nights
It took FOX years to get most of the post season off the broadcast network and onto cable. But now as the network struggles, badly, to grab viewers, I bet they would have loved to have that big chunk of the earlier rounds on FOX.
