Ratings Review: 2015 AL Wild Card and Division Series

The AL Wild Card Game was, at the time, the most watched Wild Card Game ever and the best rated MLB game on ESPN in 12 years. The Astros used the long ball to top the Yankees, in Yankee Stadium.

The ALDS was played mostly during the day time hours, with seven of the ten total games beginning before primetime. Two of the ten games were also exclusively aired on the MLB Network. Those two games were the lowest rated games of either series.

The Blue Jays vs Ranges series averaged 2.17 million viewers, and a 0.6 rating in all three demographic categories.

The Astros vs Royals series, with two primetime games, averaged 2.99 million viewers, a 0.8 rating in the A18-34 and A18-49 demos, and a 1.0 rating in the A25-54 demo.

The AL Championship series will feature the Royals vs Blue Jays.
