Ratings Review: MLB 2014 Postseason

The Major League Baseball post season had another decent year in TV ratings. The cable networks, which covered the early rounds through the League Championship Series, were posting record numbers for their respective cable networks. FS1 pulled in some of its best numbers every, for the young sports network.


TBS' numbers were good, but kept getting series sweeps for the ALDS and ALCS. Its Tigers/Orioles was seen exclusively during the day time hours.

The WORLD SERIES was pulling some of the lowest numbers ever for WS games, but with the series going to a seventh game, it nearly doubled he audience size that watched game 6, just 24 hours earlier. This was the fewest games FOX aired of an MLB post season, at a time when it could have used the games to help boost the network ratings numbers for its abysmal fall schedule.
