Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 04/10/2016
CBS tops NBC for the nightly victory, thanks to about a 30 minute overrun of THE MASTERS golf tournament. The Major Tournament brought in 13.9 million viewers (#1) and a solid 2.5 rating (#1) in the Adults 18-49 demographic. That led into better than usual ratings for 60 MINUTES, starting at 7:30 PM. MADAM SECRETARY and two episodes of ELEMENTARY hauled in about average numbers, for early spring.LITTLE BIG SHOTS drove NBC to a second place finish, increasing its week-to-week numbers by about 10%. Both THE CARMICHAEL SHOW and CROWDED benefited from those increased lead in numbers, improving their weekly averages. DATE LINE held par at 10 PM.
FOX may not draw viewers, but they are competitive in the younger demographics. Take out the two lame duck shows in the 7 PM hour, and FOX wins the night in the A18-34 demographic and is a very close second in the A18-49 demo.
ABC had another weak showing.ONCE UPON A TIME tied for last place in the 8 PM hour, for the A18-49 demo. THE FAMILY drops nearly 30 percent from an already low starting point. at 9 PM. And, QUANTICO struggles to beat a rather old demo drawing ELEMENTARY, at 10 PM.
