US Box Office Results: October 16 - 18, 2015
Four new releases make this weekend's top 10, lead by Sony's GOOSEBUMPS with $23.5 million. Show in 3.500 screens, the PG rated movie also had the highest per screen average of slightly more than $6,700. This is Jack Black best opening, as a main character, in a live action movie, since 2008's Tropic Thunder, with just under $26 million.
THE MARTIAN is still going strong, now in its third week out. Another $21.5 million take brings its 18 day total to over $143 million, domestically. World wide, the movie is a little shy of $320 million.
The new Tom Hanks movie, BRIDGE OF SPIES, edged out CRIMSON PEAK for the #3 spot, hauling in $15.4 million.
