US Box Office Results: January 4 - 6, 2019
For the third week in a row, the DC Comic's movie, AQUAMAN, topped the box office chart, taking in another $30.7 million. After 17 days in release, the superhero film has grossed over $259.7 million, and brought in over $940.7 million, worldwide.
ESCAPE ROOM, the only new film in wide release, was second on the weekend, with a $18 million take. That is already double its $9 million production budget.
Golden Globe Best Picture winner, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, grossed $2.4 million, in its tenth week of release, ranking 11th. The film could see a decent jump in the ranking, next week, as some fans may catch the award winning film one last time, before it leaves theaters.
