Veteran series ROYAL PAINS has been given a two season renewal by USA. Each season will only consist of eight episodes each.
WITCHES no more:
Lifetime has cancelled the WITCHES OF EAST END after two season.
CW sets Friday schedule for the winter:
HEART OF DIXIE and MASTERS OF ILLUSION will return to the CW, placed on Friday nights. Starting Friday, January 9th, The CW will kick of the night with MASTERS OF ILLUSION at 8 p.m., followed by WHOSE LINE? at 8:30 p.m. HEART OF DICKIE will begin its 10 episode run at 9 p.m.
CBS sets premieres of two mid-season series:
Veteran series THE MENTALIST and UNDERCOVER BOSS have their premires and time slots set for this season. THE MENTALIST will start its final season with a special premiere on Sunday, November 30, at 9:30 p.m. It will then move to its regular slot of 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, filling the voide between season of SURVIVOR.
UNDERCOVER BOSS will start the season on Sunday Nights, with three episodes on December 14, 21 and 28. It will then move to Fridays at 8 p.m., starting on January 2nd. SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE will premiere back-to-back, on February 25th, with special 90 minutes episodes each.
CELEBRITY APPRENTICE returns in 2015:
NBC has announced that the Donald Trump reality series CELEBRITY APPRENTICE will return on Sunday, January 4th, at 9 p.m. The series will then move to its regular slot of Monday nights, at 8 p.m.
NBCU cable channel to re-brand:
Mun2, the sister network to Telemundo, will become NBC Universo on Sunday, February 1, 2015. That is the day the cable network is schedule to carry the Super Bowl in Spanish.
Showtime developing drama based on a second civil war:
ANTHEM is the series that will look at the having a modern day, second Civil War in the USA. The official logline: “This is a series about an unraveling: about what happens when our political system collapses under the weight of mistrust and partisan division. The pilot begins on a typical presidential election day. When it ends, America is on the brink of a second civil war.”
