Ratings Review: WITCHES OF EAST END (Season Two)

I was not aware of this series until this summer, and I find it interesting to see Lifetime airing a supernatural based series, even if it is a female focused story. The series does not draw a huge amount of viewers, but does skew younger.

The series hovers around that one million viewer mark for most of its episodes. A number that does not spell success for most cable series. It is down about 40% from the previous season's viewer totals, a second bad sign for a series. The series did shift its season from a fall run to a summer run, presumably to avoid going head to head with THE WALKING DEAD. But the shift may have also been the reason for the lower ratings.

For the season, WITCHES OF EAST END averaged 1.14 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49. No official word, yet, on a third season order form Lifetime.
