Ratings Review: NBC Fridays - November Sweeps

It has not been a particularly good November sweeps for NBC Friday nights. The network had hoped the new series DRACULA would be a great compliment to GRIMM on the night, but it looks as if viewers have rejected the prince of darkness, on TV, once again. Premiering just a week before the november sweeps, all of DRACULA's bad numbers are seen right here. Just three million viewers and diving below a 1.0 in the A18-49 ratings. The series is a goner, it is just a matter if NBC will air all of the committed episodes or not.
GRIMM started to be dragged down by the backlash of DRACULA, but an encouraging sign from the ratings of week three may indicate that fans are still on board with the show. GRIMM is not a huge ratings grabber and all never be a "hit," but it can give NBC a relatively solid performance on the low viewing night.

DATELINE is NBC's lifeline. Where there is a hole, it will fill it. It will get decent viewer numbers each week, but good ratings will always depend on the weekly offering of stories. Hit a hot topic and the numbers will spike.

NBC will comp-ere with FOX each week for third place on the night, but long as DRACULA is on the NBC schedule, FOX should win that battle.
