Classic TV Ratings and Rankings: 1951-52 Season
The 1951-52 TV season was dominated by NBC. It placed 17 programs in the top 30 chart, six in the top 10. CBS did get stronger, from the previous season, by grabbing the #1 show on TV, ARTHUR GODFREY'S TALENT SCOUTS, which lead into the the freshman comedy series I LOVE LUCY. LUCY debuted as the #3 show on TV, for the season.
ABC fell back from the other two networks and placed just one series in the top 30, THE LONE RANGER. But it was doing better than DuMont, which had ZERO top 30 programs.
