Ratings Review: NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (Season One)

It took a couple of ties, but NCIS did finally get its second spin-off series on the air. NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was a hit, right out of the gate, thanks to having the Mothership as its lead in. Its retention levels are on par with how NCIS: LA did, when it occupied the time slot. We should see many season of Scott Bakula solving crime in New Orleans.

In the Live+SD ratings, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS averaged 14.27 million viewers and a 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49, for the 28 airings, including four repeat episodes. Without the four encores, its averages were 15.07 million viewers and a 2.1 demo.

For the season, in the Live+7 ratings, the series total viewer average rose to 18.40 million viewers and a 2.9 demo rating. That is a gain of 3.3 million viewers and 38% on the A18-49 demo.
