Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 01/07/2018

FOX tops NBC on Sunday night, thanks to 28.3 million viewers flowing over into primetime, from the NFC Wild Card game. The game is on par with last year's total viewership, but the demo is currently down 0.8 points. The ratings should rise once finals are released on Tuesday.

The 75th Golden Globes drew 15.9 million viewers and a 4.2 rating in the A18-49 demo, over the three hour broadcast. That is down 25% from the 2017 awards show, but like the NFL game, the live event could see gains come final numbers.

ABC topped CBS for a very distant third place. ABC beat CBS from 8 to 11 PM, and was just edged out at 7 PM, with its AFV encore episode.
