US Box Office Results: September 29 - October 1, 2017
IT returns to the #1 spot, hauling in another $17.3 million, bringing its 4 week total to a solid $291 million, domestically. IT is now the #5 movie of the year, with SPIER-MAN: HOMECOMING just $41 million away from being overtaken.
The new Tom Cruise movie, MADE IN AMERICA was a close #2 on the week, grossing $17 million in its first three days of release. It will have to struggle to make its $50 million production budget.
Showing the remakes are not a guarantee of success, FLATLINERS brought in just $6.7 million in its first weekend of release and may not make its $19 million production budget back.
