Preliminary Ratings: Monday 01/11/2016
With CBS, FOX and the CW in repeats, and NBC much weaker on the night, ABC coasted to a win in the Monday night ratings. THE BACHELOR was the #1 show in the A18-34 and A18-49 demographics and #2 in the A25-54 demo. That is down about 10% from last week's season premiere.
NBC may have been the only other network in originals, but it barely took 3rd place, over FOX. The only bright spot of the night its the relatively good numbers SUPERSTORE is generating. In its second week in its regular time slot, the new comedy only lost about 15% from last week's numbers. If SUPERSTORE can keep this up, it should see a second season renewal, come May. The same can't be said about TELENOVELA. The ratings are typically low for NBC. The sitcom loses about one-third of the audience SUPERSTORE delivers. With it being a bad lead in, itself, THE BIGGEST LOSER is just that. Just 3.5 million viewers tuning in over two hour of primetime. Not good at all.
CBS was the most watched network and won the A25-54 demo, despite an all-repeat night. It did help that there were two BIG BANG THEORY encores to lead off the night, but still a good performance on the night.
FOX was just filling time with two encores of MASTERCHEF JR.
