ABC Monday Prime (8:00-11:00 p.m. – 7.0 million and 1.0/5 in AD18-49):
With the 2019 season of “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Good Doctor,” ABC stood as the most-watched network on Monday(7.0 million) and ran neck and neck for No. 1 among Adults 18-49 with CBS and NBC (1.0/5 vs. 1.1/5 – NBC and CBS tied). ABC shot up over the prior week by double digits in Total Viewers (+15%) and Adults 18-49 (+25%) to hit season highs on the night.
“Dancing with the Stars” (8:00-10:00 p.m. – 7.3 million and 1.1/4 in AD18-49):
Featuring “Disney Night” on its 5th telecast of the season, ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” grew week to week by 14% in Total Viewers (7.3 million vs. 6.4 million) to draw its largest audience since its season premiere (since 9/16/19) and by 38% with Adults 18-49 (1.1/4 vs. 0.8/3) to deliver its highest-rated telecast so far this season. In addition, “DWTS” improved over the year-ago “Disney Night” by 10% in Adults 18-49 (vs. 1.0/4 on 10/22/18). Airing head-to-head from 8:00-10:00 p.m., “Dancing with the Stars” posted its closest finish with NBC’s “The Voice” this season, coming within 600,000 viewers and 3-tenths of a rating point.
“The Good Doctor” (10:00-11:00 p.m. – 6.6 million and 1.0/5 in AD18-49):
ABC’s “The Good Doctor” spiked over the previous week by 18% in Total Viewers (6.6 million vs. 5.6 million) to attract its biggest audience of the season and by 11% with Adults 18-49 (1.0/5 vs. 0.9/4) to match its season premiere at a season high. In the Monday 10:00 p.m. hour, “The Good Doctor” ranked as the No. 1 series in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, dominating CBS’ “Bull” (5.7 million and 0.6/3) and NBC’s “Bluff City Law” (3.6 million and 0.5/2).
Through its first two telecasts, ABC’s “The Good Doctor” is the season’s No. 1 gainer in delayed viewing in Total Viewers (+5.66 million), growing to 11.83 million viewers after seven days of TV playback to stand as Monday’s most-watched TV series. In addition, the ABC drama is Monday’s No. 1 playback gainer this season among Adults 18-49 with a lift of +1.1 rating points over its L+SD rating.
