Ratings Review: AD - THE BIBLE CONTINUES (Season One)
Like most sequels, AD - THE BIBLE CONTINUES never lived up to the original. Nothing about the NBC series duplicated the 2013 History channel miniseries, including ratings, story or entertainment value. Of initial sampling, viewers left the series in droves, never looking back.
In the live _SD ratings, AD averaged 5.41 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in Adults 18-49. that is with nearly 10 million viewers on the first night.
The Live+3 ratings would ad an additional 800,000 viewers and the demo would only grow by two tenths of a ratings point, by the end of the run.
In the Live+7 ratings, total viewership averaged 7.48 million viewers (+38%) and a 1.6 rating (+45%) in Adults 18-49. The series was a major disappointment for fans of the first series and may leave a bad taste in the mouth for any future projects, on the subject matter.
