Final Broadcast Ratings: March 24, 2015
The season finale of THE MINDY PROJECT didn't draw any extra viewers on Tuesday night, as the sitcom collected just 2.1 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. That down, in the A18-49 ratings, from last week's episode. The finale was also the second lowest original program of the night, INCLUDING the CW, which iZOMBI had a slightly lower demo rating. After three seasons, FOX may be "All In" with THE MINDY PROJECT to get it to syndication levels, but this series really needs to be let go. Who knows, Amazon Studios could pick it up.
CBS did sweep the night, with a very consistent lineup. The network won all three hours in total viewership and took the final two hours in the A18-49 ratings. The numbers are down, but that happens to everyone this time of year.
NBC had a rather lackluster Tuesday night. THE VOICE posted a season low, generating just a 2.8 demo rating. The two comedies, at 9 p.m., each had significant erosion from last week's premieres. UNDATEABLE dropped about 20%, while ONE BIG HAPPY approached 30% with its losses. I think both are toast come May up fronts. THE NIGHT SHIFT, preempting CHICAGO FIRE, did slightly worse than how it performs on Monday nights, but it did have a much worse lead in on Tuesday. It and ABC battled for second place in both categories, at 10 p.m.
ABC was a distant third place, with FRESH OFF THE BOAT hitting a series low and FOREVER placing last at 10 p.m. AGENTS OF SHIELD did place second in the 9 p.m. hour.
The CW looked relatively healthy, when compared to FOX and ABC. iZOMBIE only dropped about 10% from last week's series premiere, even though THE FLASH was weaker this week, than last.
