HBO cancels Sunday Dramedy:
The second year series LOOKING was cancelled by HBO, but the series will have on last, special episode before calling it quits.
THE LATE LATE SHOW holding strong:
Night two of with new host James Corden held 100% of its demo rating and 88% of its audience, over Monday night's premiere. That keeps it competitive with LATE NIGHT, over on NBC, which usually wins the 12:35 a.m. time slot.
Wendy Williams new gig:
The daytime talk show host will also hos a new series on Investigation Discovery (ID). DEATH BY GOSSIP was picked up for a fall 2015 premiere. Williams is also the shows producer.
OWN renews four, picks up two:
OWN renewed the series DEION'S FAMILY PLAYBOOK, FLEX & SHANICE, OPRAH'S MASTER CLASS and WELCOME TO SWEETIE PIE'S. The network also picked up two reality series, the first is EVELYN, premiering in July. The second is an untitled spin-off of IYANIA: FIX MY LIFE, which will follow the life of a man who has fathered 34 children with 17 different women.
Third time a charm?
For the third consecutive summer, NBC has ordered a new series by survivalist, Bear Grylls. This year, the series is THE ISLAND and will feature 14 men stripped of modern conveniences, and the men will film all the action, with no real crew on site. THE ISLAND is a six episode series.
