Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 11/06/14
The Thursday night broadcast ratings is all about the HAVES and the HAVE NOTS. ABC and CBS are the HAVES, splitting the night's leadership, with ABC crowned the Demo king, while CBS is the tops in total viewers. The HAVE NOTS are NBC and FOX. FOX has the lowest rated program from the big 4, with GRACEPOINT grabbing just a 0.7 rating in Adults 18-49. NBC has the least watched show with cancelled series, A TO Z, getting just 3.2 million viewers to watched the lame duck series.
Most of CBS programs are up from last week, seeing small gains in the small gains in either or both categories. The only CBS show not to see losses in both categories was TWO AND A HALF MEN, down a tenth in the demo ratings and lost a half million viewers.
ABC saw its first two dramas lose ground from their last original episodes. GREY'S ANATOMY is down a tenth of a point in the demo ratings and lost 600k in total viewers. SCANDAL lost two tenths of a point in the demo, but rose 500k in total viewers. HOW TO GET A WAY WITH MURDER saw gains from the previous week, up 500,000 in viewership and up a tenth in the A18-49 ratings.
As bad as NBC's numbers are, all four programs saw ratings in both categories rise over last week's numbers. PARENTHOOD was the biggest winner, up three tenths of a ratings point, in the demo.
FOX was mostly flat from last week, with GRACE POINT down another tenth in the demo ratings. The network is mostly uncompetitive with the other three, with no support for a show that can do better, BONES.
