Preliminary Ratings: Sunday 11/16/14
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL should see nice gains, week-to-week, as the preliminary numbers are already equal last week's final numbers, with a slight edge in total viewers, but a few tenths of a point behind in the demo ratings. A much closer game, through most of the broadcast, will help keep the numbers up, once finals are in on Tuesday.
FOX did the right thing moving BOB'S BURGERS to the 9:30 p.m. slot. Viewership is up over 50%, from last week's MULANEY, and the demo rating has nearly doubled. We'll see how long FOX stick with even worse numbers from MULANY at 7:30 p.m., starting next Sunday.
ABC also did a good movie doubling up ONCE UPON A TIME, and preempting the fading RESURRECTION. At 9 p.m., the fantasy drama grew the total audience by nearly two million viewers and the demographic rating jumped nearly 100%. If you are a fan of RESURRECTION, don't get too comfortable with it. As soon as its current commitment id done, ABC will/should ax the series.
CBS was second in total viewership, but last in the A18-49 ratings. The ratings were up over last week, with exception of THE GOOD WIFE, which lost a tenth of a point, in the demo ratings.
