  • Sony sets the price for its Pay-TV service

Sony sets video service price:
Looking to ditch cable TV for an internet based service? Sony has set its pay-TV service price at about $80 per month. The net TV service will include about 100 live channels, according to a NY Post report.



TWIN PEAKS to be revived:
Showtime is bringing back on of the biggest hit/crash & burn series of the pas thirty years, TWIN PEAKS. The limited series will begin production in 2015, with nine episodes premiering in 2016.



ESPN/Turner & NBA expand digital rights deal:
The NBA has renewed its broadcast rights with ESPN and Turner through the 2024-25 season. The deal is said to be worth $24 billion, over nine years, more than double the current rates. In the new deal, ESPN will launch an online only offering of games, perhaps attracting cord-cutters to purchase the basketball package.



FOX developing St. Patrick limited series:
From the producer of SLEEPY HOLLOW, Len Wiseman and FOX are teaming fon a new limited TV series on the life and legend of 5th century warrior/saint, St. Patrick. No timetable or premiere dates were made available.



Oxygen renews series for multiple seasons:
SNAPPED: KILLER COUPLES has been renewed for season five and six, by Oxygen.
