Something we may need get use to hearing for the next 3+ weeks, NBC sweeps the weekly ratings, dominating in just about every reported category, from total viewers to the A18-34 demographic.
NBC's strong showing was lead by its coverage of the 2014 Emmy Awards, with 15.6 million viewers (#1) and 4.2 rating in Adults 18-49 (#1). It along with the two original editions of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT took the top three spots of the week. In total, NBC had seven top 30 programs, including TAXI BROOKLYN at #27.
CBS was the #2 network of the week, taking the second spot in all categories, except one (A18-34). The network had the most top 30 programs, placing 16 shows on the chart, including 10 of the top 15. UNFORGETTABLE had two epiusodes in the top 30, including the special Saturday airing at #29.
ABC had one of its better weeks of the summer, with a solid third place finish, and tying or passing CBS in two categories. However, ABC only had one top 15 show (Saturday College Football) and just six in the top 30.
FOX was a distant 4th place for the week. Only MASTERCHEF was in the top 30 and HOTEL HELL was the only other FOX program in the top 40. A large majority of the network's programs placed 55th, or worse.
