2014 Commercial Cost Survey: NBC

AdAge has released the 2014 fall commercial cost survey, detailing the average cost of one network commercial spot for each of the shows from this season's fall schedule. Here is a look at the NBC chart of advertising costs per spot.

Sundays and Mondays are the money-maker nights for NBC, as all their programs on that night, make up the top five.  Unreported was FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA.

THE BLACKLIST gets a bump bigger than SNF. The hot new drama commands an additional $84,000 per spot, besting the $57,000 raise SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL received.

Surprised to see the new sitcom MARRY ME command near $150,000 per spot, over both CHICAGO PD and CHICAGO FIRE. NBC must be expecting high retention from the new comedy, out of THE VOICE.

PARENTHOOD received a substantial bump up over last season's prices, yet the series has never proven to be a ratings generator, and is usually last in its time slot.

Not one show, from last season, dropped their ad rates. GRIMM and THE BIGGEST LOSER may be over valued and could see makeup ads in their future.
