Primetime Cable Ratings: August 11, 2014
Night two of SHARK WEEK, on DISCOVERY produced the network three top 10 programs, on Monday night. The three hours of primetime, Discovery averaged 3.2 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49. Discovery nearly matched USA's WWE block in the A18-49 numbers.The summer finale of MAJOR CRIMES won the night, getting 5.7 million viewers, a half million more than tuned in the previous week.
MURDER IN THE FIRST's first season also saw a huge gain in viewership. Compared to last week, the freshman crime drama grew 26%, or 700,000 viewers. It is the best numbers for the series since the premiere, back on June 9th.
