Final Broadcast Ratings: August 11, 2014
FOX and CBS split a competitive Monday night in the ratings, that saw the Big 4 networks separated by just four tenths of a ratings point, in the A18-49 ratings, and a million total viewers. FOX was the Master in the A18-49 ratings, while CBS collected the most viewers.
MASTERCHEF and HOTEL HELL lead FOX to the demo win, despite both programs being down from the previous week. Both shows were off by between 5 to 10 percent in the demo ratings, but viewership was mostly flat.
CBS had a nice rise in the ratings numbers, especially in the 8 p.m. hour. both comedy encores drew over a half million more viewers and and rose between 11 and 22 percent in their demo ratings. All four CBS programs drew a demo rating of 1.0, or above.
Despite the good news, UNDER THE DOME was down a tenth of a ratings point, from last week's numbers.
BACHELOR IN PARADISE stayed flat for week two, which did help MISTRESSES rise 11%, in the demo, week-to-week. The new dating reality series is still way off the mark, set by THE BACHELORETTE.
RUNNING WILD had it's best outing, grabbing 4.5 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49. It helped that this week's guest star was Channing Tatum.
WHOSE LINE posted it's best numbers of the summer, drawing 1.9 million viewers and a very respectable 0.7 demo rating. Perhaps if they added repeats of MASTERS OF ILLUSION at 9 p.m., instead of overused ARROW, the CW could have a relatively strong night.
