Primetime Cable Ratings: August 10, 2014
SHARK WEEK kicked off on Discovery, the 27th year of the week long summer focus on the deadly water predator. Specials took two of the top four spots, lead by the 9 p.m. airing of SHARK OF DARKNESS. That special collected 3.8 million viewers and a night's best 1.9 rating in Adults 18-49. That beat TRUE BLOOD in both ratings categories.
The earlier shark special AIR JAWS: FIN OF FURY, brought in 3.3 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating. The 7 p.m. special didn't make the top 10, but did place 19th, with 1.7 million.
THE LAST SHIP was able to maintain the #1 spot in total viewership, hauling in 4.6 million viewers.
