TV News Roundup: May 14, 2014

The big news is that CBS and ABC have released their 2014-15 fall schedules. Comcast adds VOD partner. And, a veteran series announces it's final season. This and more in today's TV News Roundup.


CBS releases it's New Fall Lineup:
An aggressive CBS gives us five new series, on five nights, plus moving three current series to new nights. [LINK]



TWO AND A HALF MEN to Have Final Season:
After 12 seasons, sitcom TWO AND A HALF MEN will wrap up the series after the 2014-15 season.



ABC 2014 Primetime Lineup:
The alphabet network added six series to the fall schedule, including four comedies. The network will also have "split seasons" for most of it's dramas. AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. will take a break and AGENT CARTER will fill in. ONCE UPON A TIME will take a break for GALAVANT to fill in. This will allow the dramas to not run as many low rated repeats, while testing out other series between sweeps months. [LINK]



FX and FXX Cancel Two Series:
FX series CHOZEN and FXX series LEGIT were both cancelled by their respective networks.



More CONAN through 2018:
TBS has extended the contract forlate night talker CONAN through 2018. It is the series strength in A18-34 that has TBS excited and wanting more of the former TONIGHT SHOW host.



Comcast/Turner Agree on VOD Package:
Comcast will now offer current and past seasons of original programming from the Turner stable of cable networks, in a new advertising package. The content will be made available on most set top and streaming devices supported by Comcast.
