The BCS championship game, featuring Florida State and Auburn battling for the national title, drew the night's top ratings, with 25.6 million viewers and a 8.7 rating in Adults 18-49. Florida State won the final BCS title 34-31 as the NCAA will institute a 4 team playoff in January 2015.
MAJOR CRIMES was the only scripted series in Monday's top 10, grabbing just shy of 5 million viewers. This is down slightly from the previous week's episode, but the competition was much greater, with the BCS and the broadcast networks ramping back up original programming.
