Primetime Cable Ratings: January 7, 2014
BET tops the original programming on the night as the new series BEING MARY JANE brings in 3.3 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49. Although it was beat by two episodes of reruns of THE BIG BANG THEORY, the BEST series did best ABC Family's PRETTY LITTLE LIARS in both measured categories.The fifth season of the FX drama JUSTIFIED got off to a good start, collecting 2.8 million viewers and placing 7th on the night. That was much better than the season premiere of COUGAR TOWN, which failed to make the top 10. The TBS original comedy drew less than two million viewers at 10 p.m.
Also doing well on the night was OWN's THE HAVE AND HAVE NOTS. The 9 pm. drama hauled in 2.8 million viewers and may be the best performing series from the struggling network.
