Ratings: Broadcast Finals for December 1, 2013
Thanks to almost a full hour of NFL Overrun programming, CBS splits Sunday night with NBC, with CBS taking total viewers,, while NBC still holds onto the A18-49 ratings.
CBS' late afternoon national doubleheader game drew over 28 million viewers during the 7 p.m. hour. The national game of the Broncos and Chiefs was a tight game until the last minute of play.
The time shifted ratings helped CBS on the night, eve THE MENTALIST, which aired just before 11 p.m., able to hold 9.6 million viewers until midnight. This is the first time that all four shows did well after an NFL overrun.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL had another low rated game, gathering just 17.8 million viewers and a 6.2 rating in Adults 18-49. this is the third lowest ratings for SNF, despite the game featuring two strong TV markets, NYC and WASHINGTON. I guess the game just didn't hold the interest of fans.
ABC gave us the Hallmark Hall Of Fame movie CHRISTMAS IN CONWAY, but it could only draw 6.5 million viewers and a bad 1.1 demo rating. When the contract is up for the HHOF movies, I expect ABC to not bid on the property and, it may even lose having a network outlet.
