Ratings Review: FOX Fridays - November Sweeps

It still has quite a way to go, but it looks as if may finally getting something to stick on Friday nights. The reality series MASTERCHEF JUNIOR performed relatively well on the night, averaging about a 1.4 rating in Adults 18-49. It would battle for a second place spot in the 8 p.m. hour, on most weeks. It is a nice little hole filler when FOX needs to bridge from one season to the next.

BONES took over the 8 p.m. slot for the second half of the sweeps and it took that second week for the series to get noticed on the night. It won the 8 p.m. time slot, in week 4, in the A18-49 ratings, beating UNDERCOVER BOSS and LAST MAN STANDING. If it can begin to approach ratings near it's monday levels, FOX will have to be ecstatic.

Laying a total egg on the night is the returning sitcom RAISING HOPE. I have to believe that the only reason the series is on the schedule is for the syndication money it can generate within the next year, or so. The 9 p.m. hour is now no different than when it was airing repeats of SLEEPY HOLLOW. It can only top the CW programming, in it's time slot. It is a bad show on a bad night. You can't get much worse than that, for FOX.
