Ratings Review: CW Fridays - November Sweeps

The CW Friday nights may be the worst night on the network's schedule. I almost always has at least one show that struggles to draw 750,000 viewers, but usually there are two turkeys like this.

I am not exactly sure why THE CARRIE DIARIES is even on this season's schedule. It proved last season that it was not a ratings draw. Putting it on Fridays is just a bad of a call as picking it up for a second season. It battles with BEAUTY & THE BEAST for worst rated CW show of the week. Just look at it's November performance. Pathetic.

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL called it a season during the sweeps. Compared to what else the CW programs on the night, it does decent for the network, but it is a bottom level show that can only beat the likes of a CARRIES DIARIES. ANTM may be better off being a full fleged summer series instead of the transitional season series it is now.

The premiere of the actions series NIKITA is DOA. It's one episode performed worse than THE CARRIE DIARIES, and if you can't beat CARRIE, why even be on the air? Fortunately, there are only a hand full of episodes for the series last season.

It is just a bad night for the network. Nothing really works on the night and it is fast becoming another Saturday night with the lack of viewers staying home on the night. I wonder how much longer The CW will go with horrid ratings for the night, before turning it over to the local stations?
