Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 9, 2013
It was a down night for everyone on Wednesday not a single program was able to equal or increase their ratings from last Wednesday night. Not even the CW was immune from decreased ratings. It's Wednesday premieres were down from 2012.
ARROW, last year's freshman stand out for the CW, drew 2.7 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49, for its second season premiere. That is down nearly 1.5 million viewers and 31% in the demo ratings, from its 2012 premiere. It should still be the #1 CW program of the week, but this is not a good sign for the network. Hopefully, the Live+3 numbers will make up for the loss of the Live+SD losses.
Following ARROW was the new series THE TOMORROW PEOPLE. It seems to fit nicely with ARROW as it only lost 14% of its lead in audience. It is also not far off from what SUPERNATURAL did in the time slot, one year earlier. Of the new CW series, the look to be 2 for 2, with REIGN left to premiere.
Huge week-to-week losses from Wednesday night include SUPER FUN NIGHT, down 1.5 million viewers (8.23) and 22% in the A18-49 ratings. CSI dropped close to one million viewers and 10% in the demo. IRONSIDE was off 1.6 million viewers and 15% in the demo ratings.
