Ratings: Broadcast Finals for October 27, 2013

Baseball with a sprinkle of NFL football takes the night for FOX. Game 4 of the World Series draws 16 million viewers viewers and a 4.6 rating in Adults 18-49. The game was just one million viewers behind to the NFL game on NBC. However SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL was still the dominate program in the A18-49 ratings, with an 27% advantage of the the baseball game.

Leading into the World Series was the end of the Broncos/Redskins game, which captured 25.5 million viewers for the first hour of primetime for FOX. That boost is what took FOX over the edge to win the night over NBC.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL recorded its lowest numbers of the season with just 16.9 million viewers. The Packers/Vikings game would normally be a high ratings game, but with the Vikings being just a 1-5 team, going into the game, there was not as much interest in the game, than for most SNF match ups. Week-to-week, against the hyped up Broncos/Colts game a week before, SNF lost 10 million viewers and 37% in the A18-49 ratings.

CBS and ABC numbers for Sunday were not far off from recent trends for all their programs.

Sunday Night Network Averages:
ABC - 5.6 million viewers, 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49
CBS - 9.1 million viewers, 1.5 rating in Adults 18-49
FOX - 18.4 million viewers, 5.7 rating in Adults 18-49
NBC - 14.9 million viewers, 5.4 rating in Adults 18-49
