Ratings: Broadcast Finals for September 12, 2013

There was a big discrepancy in the ratings between when the Fast Nationals were released early Thursday afternoon and when the Final ratings were published six hours later. ABC and CBS both saw their nightly averages drop over one million viewers and three to four tenths of a ratings point in Adults 18-49.  The CW was also affected, dropping about 25% in total viewership for each program. Somehow, FOX and NBC was not affected by the updated numbers. Both stayed stead from the preliminary numbers of earlier in the day.

ROOKIE BLUE closed out another summer season, drawing viewers below its season average, with just 4.7 million viewers and a 1.0 demo rating. The cop drama will return to the ABC schedule next summer.

THE X FACTOR continues to lay an egg, equaling BIG BROTHER in the A18-49 ratings, with a 2.2 mark and losing to THE BIG BANG THEORY as the most watched show of the night. If you are a fan of THE X FACTOR, you better enjoy it while you can, because at this rate, this will be the last season of the series.

CW - 0.5 million viewers, 0.2 rating in Adults 18-49

NBC - 3.4 million viewers, 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49
