Ratings: Broadcast Finals for August 7, 2013

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT was Wednesday nights #1 program in both viewers (10.3 million), and in the A18-49 ratings (2.5). The wednesday editions was mostly flat from last week's show. But it still amazes me that the encore airings of the show do as well as they do. At 8 p.m., the repeat episode drew 6.4 million viewers and a 1.5 demo rating. better than most original series this summer.


The BIG BROTHER episode on Wednesday are the weak link of the summer series. Its latest performance drew 6.4 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in Adults 18-49. The Thursday and Sunday episodes usually draw 10% to 15% better than on Wednesdays.

MASTERCHEF is still holding its own, and for the most part, FOX the remainder of this summer. With 5.7 million viewers and a 2.2 demo rating, it will be FOX's only top 30 program of the week, in total viewers. This has not been a kind 12 months for FOX and it really is the first time it has struggled in the last decade, or so.

ABC - 3.2 million viewers, 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49

CBS - 5.7 million viewers, 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49

CW - 1.0 million viewers, 0.4 rating in Adults 18-49

FOX - 4.3 million viewers, 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49

NBC - 6.7 million viewers, 1.7 rating in Adults 18-49
