Ratings: Primetime Cable Programs: August 7, 2013

ROYAL PAINS tops Shark Week as Wednesday's most watched cable program, drawing in 3.6 million viewers. This is on par with what the USA series has been doing all summer. However, expect to see a down tick next week as DUCK DYNASTY returns with a new season of episodes.

Discovery's Shark Week continued on Wednesday, taking the #2 and #6 spots on the chart. GREAT WHITE SERIAL KILLER posted the night's best A18-49 rating, with a 1.6 mark. It's total viewers were 3.2 million.  TOP TEN SHARKDOWN also did well in the demo ratings, collecting a 1.3 score, along with its 2.8 million viewers.

The night's only other original program was USA's NECESSARY ROUGHNESS. The program drew 2.3 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating. As a lead out from ROYAL PAINS, it losses about 1.3 million viewers and 25% of the A18-49 ratings.
