Top Primetime Cable Sports Programs: July 22 - 28, 2013
Sports during the summer are tough to find, in primetime. Only seven sports events made this week's chart and the most watched sports program of the week is not even on this chart, since it aired in the daytime. The Brickyard 400, which kicks off ESPN's coverage of NASCAR, drew 5.5 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in Adults 18-49. The race ran from 1 p.m. to roughly 4:30 p.m., ET. The post-race show drew 3.8 million viewers.
We are just a few short weeks from football, both college and pro, kicking of their seasons. That means more primetime games and a more rich ratings chart each week.
