Top 20 Non-Scripted Cable Programs: July 22 - 28, 2013

Most people believe that Reality TV rules sumer television viewing, but when you look at the overall chart, it tells a different story. This week's unscripted top 20 programs only featured three in the over all top 10 and just two additional programs in the top 30. Scripted programs are attracting more viewers, on a regular basis. And for the cable networks, it is all about the people in order to charge the cable providers more per subscriber.

AMERICAN PICKERS was the most watched reality program of the week, drawing 4.1 million viewers. It was the only unscripted show to bring in over 4 million viewers. PICKERS lead History to placing the most programs in the top 20, with six.

DUCK DYNASTY is still about three week's from its season premiere, but it is still drawing viewers to its encores. a total of four episodes made this week's chart, with the most watched episode finishing in the 12th position.
