The DUCK DYNASTY season finale drew an A&E record in total viewers for a series, with 9.6 million. I recently heard that the production company wanted the Robertsons to not bring their faith into the series because it would turn off viewers, but the family said they would not change who they are for the cameras. The company also thought about bleeping non-curse words in order to make the episodes and the series more edgy, like a REAL HOUSE WIVES or AMERICAN CHOPPER, but again, the Robertsons said no. It is the uniqueness of this type of family on TV that make them popular with viewers. In a sea full of reality shows that have backstabbers, nudity and lots of 4-letter words, DUCK DYNASTY rises above in not only in character and in faith, but in the ratings.
