Top 12 Cable Sports Programs - Week Of 04/22/13
The second full week of the NBA Playoffs continue to dominate the sports ratings. Between ESPN and TNT, ten games make the top 15 chart. The best rated game was from TNT, drawing 4.3 million viewers on a late Wednesday night.Despite the dominance of the NBA Playoffs, it was the first round of the NFL Draft that was the most watched sports program on Cable. The ESPN coverage drew 6.2 million viewers and was the #2 over all cable program for the week. The NFL draft has long been a big event, but to spread out 7 rounds over three days is a bit excessive. But, if the networks are willing to pay, why not air as much as you can?
WWE RAW is the only other program to make the top 15 chart. The USA wrestling night took three of the top 5 spots, with the 9 p.m. hour grabbing the most viewers with 4.7 million.
