Social TV Activity Chart for May 1, 2013
Sports once again dominates the social media networks as all of cable is populated with playoff games. Three NBA games combined for over one million social messages last night. All three games collect posts in the six-figures, with the marquee series Celtics vs Knicks getting over 716k.
The NHL Playoffs are now under way and the NBC Sports Network doubleheader grabs well over 300,000 social posts about the games. With the season delayed by the strike, expect the NHL finals to possibly spill over into July this year.
Over on the broadcast side, a multi-network coverage of the CONCACAF soccer game drew just under 50,000 posts., to place 3rd on the chart.
