Ratings Review: THE CARRIE DIARIES

THE CARRIE DIARIES, on paper, looked to be a good series for the CW. it is based on a franchise that produced a hit series for HBO and to successful theatrical films. However, the ratings indicate that a prequel of one of these characters may not have been what the fans wanted.

Inflated by early episodes, THE CARRIE DIARIES averaged 1.18 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in Adults 18-49, for its freshman season. Outside of CULT, which was cancelled last week, THE CARRIE DIARIES was the least viewed program on the network.

It is always hard to predict what The CW will do, but my guess is that THE CARRIE DIARIES will not be on the 2013-14 schedule.
