CW Weekly Ratings for the Week of April 8-14, 2013

Two CW freshmen series ended this past week. One was scheduled, the other was axed.

CULT was finally put down by the CW after it failed on two different nights (Tuesdays & Fridays). When the Friday final ratings came in, from the previous week, The CW announced the end of the series and that encores of THE CARRIE DIARIES would fill the Friday night void.

THE CARRIE DIARIES ended its first season on Monday and, like CULT, we may never see a new episode of the series again. Just 1 million viewers tuned in to the season finale. Now, The CW model is not completely dependent on the network ratings it generates. if the series is a hit in other countries, It may be possible that The CW renews the low rated series. We will know more in about a month.

For the week, the CW averaged 0.94 million viewers and a 0.33 rating in Adults 18-49. Whenever the network has a large amount of repeats on the schedule, ratings will look this bad, if not worse. It will be the #6 English language network this week, behind ION-TV.
