Rating Review: COUGAR TOWN (Season Four)
The fourth season of +Cougar Town on TBS has to be called a successful season, even if the ratings are down a bit from the previous season, on ABC. TBS knows that it can't compete with the broadcast networks, but it can build a comedy tradition from know, branded properties to help the network gain credibility and loyalty.
For the season, COUGAR TOWN averaged 1.97 million viewers and pulled in a 0.9 rating in Adults 18-49. Solid numbers for a TBS original comedy. But, the sitcom seemed to have lost some of its steam the second half of the season.
COUGAR TOWN will be back in 2014 for a 15th season. After that run, the series will have 89 episodes, enough to start syndication, perhaps starting in the fall of 2014.
