Social TV Activity Chart for March 21, 2013
March Madness has officially taken over. The top five cable programs are the coverage of the NCAA tournament by TruTV, TNT and TBS. In fact, Cable coverage of the tournament took the top nine spots, leaving SPONGEBOB as the lone non basketball program in the top 10.
Coverage and social messaging of the tournament didn't stop with cable. CBS covered games too and placed 5th on the Broadcast chart. Of the 20 spots, between the two charts, NCAA tournament games took 13 of those spots.
Scandal gave AMERICAN IDOL a runn for the top spot on the broadcast chart. The sophomore drama may be the hottest broadcast drama on right now. It has already out buzzed GREY'S ANATOMY and may soon top it in the Nielsen Ratings.
Trendrr.TV tracks all major networks and shows in real-time. Total activity is determined by Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue, and Viggle, and activity. On air activity reflects the window three hours before and after a show airs and daily activity reflects a twenty four hour period from 6am to 6am.
