Ratings: Broadcast Finals for January 20, 2013

The AFC Championship game featuring the Baltimore Ravens against the New England Patriots consisted of about 80% of the broadcast TV audience at any given time from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00pm. 47.7 million viewers and 16.8 percent of adults 18-49, tuned into the game to see the Ravens defeat the Patriots.

However, that is well below last year's NFC championship game, on FOX. In 2012, the prime time game drew 57.6 million viewers and a 21.4 demo rating. Two years ago, when CBS last had the prime time championship game, they drew 46.5 million viewers and an 18.0 demo rating.

Following the game was a special airing of HAWAII FIVE-0. The cop drama held only 31% of the total football audience and just 27% of the A18-49 viewers. Not a successful outing for H50.

For the night, CBS dominated with 39 million viewers and an 13.5 demo rating. At a distant second place was ABC with 5.9 million viewers and a 1.7 demo rating. FOX was next with a 1.6 demo rating and 3.4 million viewers. At the back of the pack was NBC with 2.4 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating.
